Police are calling for witnesses and dashcam footage of a car that had travelled to Bribie Island and back the night before a woman was found dead in a Queensland home. 9News

Officers found the body of a 51-year-old woman in a Bongaree home in the Moreton Bay region after they were called to the property for a welfare check on Thursday, February 16.

"As a result of that, we conducted a welfare check at the address and located the female person deceased inside," he said.
