UPDATE: Two of three criminals on the run after allegedly escaping a Queensland prison close to the NSW border have been arrested.

Two of three criminals on the run after allegedly escaping a Queensland prison close to the NSW border have been arrested.

Police and prison officers were searching for Daniel Ian Badcock, Osiah Pilton and Antonio David Mene, who escaped from Palen Creek Correctional Centre in Rathdowney, west of the Gold Coast, on Sunday.Badcock is serving a year for prohibited weapons and explosives. Pilton is serving a sentence of a year and nine months for entering a dwelling with intent without violence, while Mene is serving three years for illegal use of a motor vehicle.

Police found Pilton and Badcock at Northgate about 10am on Monday, and arrested them. Mene was yet to be found.Anyone with further information can contact Policelink on 13 14 44.
