A man accused of coordinating the alleged murder and kidnapping of Sydney grandfather Chris Baghsarian has been charged.

It is understood a relative of Sydney businessman Dimitri Stepanyan was the intended target of the plot, with Mr Baghsarian taken by mistake. Further inquiries have resulted in a 22-year-old man being charged with take/detain in company with intention to ransom occasion actual bodily harm, and murder in connection with Mr Baghsarian's death.
A 21-year-old man in Lethbridge Park has been charged with accessory before the fact to take/detain in company with intention to ransom occasion actual bodily harm, accessory before the fact to murder, and possession of a prohibited drug. A 19-year-old man was also charged with accessory before the fact to take/detain in company with intention to ransom occasion actual bodily harm, and accessory before the fact to murder.
Seven other men who were previously charged over the alleged abduction and murder remain before the courts, with 11 men in total now charged. Inquiries into Mr Baghsarian's death are continuing, with police saying work is ongoing to identify the offshore offenders allegedly involved in the operation.
