State police return to Dauphin County property linked to 1989 Tracy Kroh cold casePennsylvania State Police have reopened a Dauphin County road that was closed to the public for more than a week while they searched an adjacent property for evidence in the 1989 disappearance of teenager Tracy Kroh.
On March 23, state police started methodically demolishing each of the buildings on 90-year-old Mark E. Warfel’s property on the 100 block of Mountain House Road in Jackson Township. Access to Mountain House Road was restricted while state police investigated. The search of the Warfel property wrapped up Monday, without updates from investigators on any evidence they may have found related to Kroh’s disappearance on Aug. 5, 1989. Kroh, 17, was last seen walking home from a relative’s home at Alex Acres Trailer Park off Route 147. The area is near Warfel’s property.
Cadaver dogs helped search the property after the demolition and evacuation, but state police said no human remains were found., and charged with repeatedly harassing a woman and breaking into her home.
