Police investigating the suspicious disappearance of Brisbane father Brett Orme say they are following several leads and will expand their search area.
Orme was last seen wearing a high-visibility trade shirt leaving a home on Odense Street in Fitzgibbon in a white 2012 Nissan Navara on August 11.
The 54-year-old shed builder spoke with family two days later while in the Iron Bark Gully area, Samford, but he has not been seen or heard from since.His phone was found discarded at Iron Bark Gully on August 16 and handed in to police. Police then found his car in a secluded spot at the Tinchi Tamba wetlands at Bald Hills - 20km from Iron Bark Gully - on Saturday.
Tomorrow's search, involving SES and police, will be expanded into bushland further west from Iron Bark Gully towards Samford. Anyone who may have seen Orme, or his Navara, between August 11 and 19 in the Greater Brisbane area is urged to contact police.The car has the Queensland registration 354WAN and a decal on the side advertising Orme's shed installation business.
