A 25-year-old man is on life support with serious brain injuries after he was bashed in Sydney's CBD earlier this week.
Officers were called to the corner of George and Liverpool streets at around 2.10 am on Monday, following reports a 25-year-old man had been assaulted.
Police allege the victim became involved in an argument with the group before he was violently assaulted.
