Six staff members from NSW Finance Minister Victor Dominello's office have been interviewed by police.The article said Mr Daley’s office had called the hotline to identify his wife, Christina, was driving a car when it incurred a speeding fine, not Mr Daley.

Mr Daley blamed the article on a "Liberal Party dirt unit" and said he was reporting the matter to police as a breach of privacy, because the details had been leaked from confidential records held by Revenue NSW.Mr Daley confirmed his wife Christina was driving his vehicle and the fine arrived in his name.Michael Daley made a police complaint about the alleged leaking of his wife's personal details."She paid the fine of $114 and got one demerit point.

A statement from NSW Police said "the Financial Crimes Squad are conducting inquiries following a complaint to police relating to the release of personal information".It is understood Mr Dominello has not been interviewed. A statement from Mr Dominello said: "I can confirm that my office has been contacted by the police and are assisting them with their investigation."
