In early August, Premier Daniel Andrews said he had referred a complaint of a serious alleged assault by the Labor MP for Ringwood, Mr Fowles, to Victoria Police.Victoria Police today confirmed detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad had opened a formal investigation into an incident that allegedly occurred in Melbourne's CBD.
