The alert came more than seven hours after the man, who has distinctive face tattoos, allegedly took the children from a property near Mackay.
Four children who were allegedly taken from a property at The Leap, near Mackay, about 11.30am on Thursday have not been located.
Queensland police have issued an amber alert over the disappearance of four children north of Mackay. “A man was seen taking the children away from a Maraju Yakapari Road address in a white 2005 Nissan Patrol 4WD bearing Queensland Registration 063BC9. The vehicle was last seen heading toward the Bruce Highway, Mackay.
