The 24-year-old man was told he only survived the incident because he had been sleeping on his stomach.
"I didn't know what had happened and was just trying to push whatever was on me off, which obviously wouldn't move because it turned out it was a car.Ms Mildren had also been sleeping on her stomach and the top half of her body was being squashed by the car.About 40 minutes after she was trapped, a paramedic managed to get close to Ms Mildren and cut a hole in the vehicle so she could see.
"They stayed under there with me the whole time while they figured out what they were going to do," she said.Despite the time that has passed, hearing about what happened to Mr Pepper deeply affected Ms Mildren."I tried to just forget about it and think I'm really lucky that I'm okay and bad things happen to everyone," she said.
"But a couple of years on it dawned on me that I'm probably really not that okay, and now I've been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder."
