In a Tuesday news release, Prince Albert police said the remains of 27\u002Dyear\u002Dold Byron Bear were found last Thursday.
A police media release on Tuesday said the remains were found on Feb. 10, and they have since confirmed they belong to Byron Bear, 27, who was reported missing on Dec. 7.Last week, police announced they laid charges against two men in connection with Bear’s death.
Raine Farrow, 23 and Kyle Burns, 37, are charged with second-degree murder and appeared in court last week. In a previous media release, police said Bear was killed at a home in the 300 Block of Ninth Street East in Prince Albert. Officers were called there with reports of gunshots just after 4 a.m. on Dec. 6 and found evidence of a “serious assault” but could not find the victim, according to another previous news release.
