The crown prosecution in a manslaughter trial says no-one was at risk of injury from a 95-year-old great-grandmother who died after she was tasered by a police officer.

"You might think no reasonable person in the position of the accused at that time would have considered a violent confrontation with Mrs Nowland was imminent," he said. Mr Hatfield said that might suggest to the jury that the officer was "fed up, impatient, not prepared to wait any longer".
