Australian Capital Territory Police are reminding motorists to slow down when passing emergency service vehicles, after a police car was rammed by a car while responding to a crash scene.
The collision happened about 6.15am last Saturday while two officers were attending a single vehicle crash on the Majura Parkway - a 11.5km road that connects two major highways.

Picture: ACT Policing However, about 6.55am, the police car was rammed from behind by a passing white Ford Ranger which was estimated to be travelling between 80-100km/hr. ACT Policing released images of the crash on Friday with a statement reminding motorists to slow down to 40km/hr when passing emergency service vehicles. "Canberrans are reminded that the penalty for failing to slow near emergency vehicles is $289 and two demerit points," police said.
