The man police say is the sole person of interest in a near-fatal shooting of a Gold Coast woman has been arrested in Victoria for unrelated weapons offences, including an alleged armed hold-up.

The man was taken into custody by Victorian police on January 12, four days after a double-barrel shotgun was fired into the back of 33-year-old Linley Anyos at Tallebudgera. The shotgun believed to have been used during the incident was later found in bushland, Gold Coast detectives say.
