The man was taken to hospital
British Transport Police have issued an update after a person was hit by a train. The incident happened on Tuesday, April 25, on the East Midlands Railway line between Stoke-on-Trent and Derby.A spokesperson for British Transport Police stated: "Officers were called to the line in Uttoxeter at 6.16pm yesterday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious." Following the incident replacement buses were provided for trains stations between Stoke-on-Trent and Derby and people were advised to use alternative services between Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent.
