An “extensive” search is underway for a man who was accidentally released from a correctional facility in Sydney’s southeast. Corey Hastings, 30, was released from Long Bay Correctional Complex in Matraville, about 1pm on Thursday but within hours Corrective Services NSW realised their mistake. Police believe Hastings was last seen at a shopping centre in Eastgardens just before 3pm and are calling on the public to come forward with any leads.
