Police want the public's help to find a black pickup that was involved in a the drive-by shooting death of a 2-year-old girl on the North Side.about 1:30 p.m. at a home in the 100 block of Future Drive, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.
Images from security camera footage show a black Chevrolet with chrome rims and a temporary license plate leaving the scene of the home. Anyone with information regarding the pickup or shooting is asked to call the homicide unit of the San Antonio Police Department at 210-207-7635. Chief William McManus said police found Mackenzie dead on the porch when they arrived. Investigators have identified a suspect, and believe the shooting was done in retaliation for a prior incident.
There were five children, ages 2 to 6, in the home at the time of the shooting, which the chief called a"pathetic act." No other injury was reported.
