Visitors would regularly arrive at Amad 'Jay' Malkoun's seaside Athens apartment in luxury cars with foreign number plates, neighbours say.
: Greek police have taken a statement from former Australian bikie boss Amad ‘Jay’ Malkoun, who was recovering in a hospital near Athens on Saturday night, local time, after being seriously injured in an apparent car bomb attack on Friday.
There is no yet-known link to Macris, apart from the remarkable coincidence of their location, criminal background, and attracting the attention of murderous enemies. And locals also noted the large Virgin Mary tattoo on his arm, believing it to be a sign of his religious devotion. Malkoun was reportedly starting his car after exercising at a local gym at 10am Friday when the car exploded.
