Sarah Everard’s killer Wayne Couzens pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to three counts of indecent exposure between November 2020 and February 2021 Two police officers will face misconduct probes over their handling of reports of indecent exposure by former Met officer Wayne Couzens before he kidnapped, raped and killed Sarah Everard.
The Met officer will face a gross misconduct hearing, while the Kent Police sergeant is facing a misconduct meeting. On Monday Couzens pleaded guilty to three charges of exposure in the Deal, Kent area on 13 November 2020, and in the Swanley, Kent area on 14 February 2021 and 27 February 2021. The constable is also accused of breaching the standards relating to honesty and integrity over parts of an account provided to IOPC investigators looking into the alleged failings.
