When Fire Rescue Victoria crews arrived the fire was blasting out the front windows of the nightclub and a smoke warning was issued for residents in the area. Authorities have put a plea to medical staff to flag anyone who comes in with serious burns, as footage obtained by the Herald Sun shows one of the arsonists fleeing from the building with flames covering both arms and his leg.
Firefighters managed to put out the fire in two hours, with FRV confirming the nightclub was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
