UK leading the way with Rwanda policy as other countries look at 'similar solutions', Sunak says
The Conservative government wants to send tens of thousands of migrants more than 6,000 miles away from the UK to Rwanda as part of Critics have claimed the policy breaks international human rights laws, and no one has been sent to the country yet after ongoing legal challenges in the courts. He says such conversations are"just part of our strategy to protect ourselves, to protect our values and our interests, to align our approach to China with that of our allies... but also to engage where it makes sense".

He says ministers should"take full responsibility", but notes there were escapes while he was in office.
