The Queen's Speech has finished
It will"take action to prevent dangerous and illegal Channel crossings and tackle the criminal gangs who profit from facilitating them". Prince Charles references the National Security Bill, which will be used to support the security services. The Brexit Freedoms Bill will enable law inherited from the EU to be"more easily amended", he says, while the Procurement Bill will be simplified to"provide new opportunities for small businesses".
He also references the Data Reform Bill which, as you would expect, will reform the UK's data protection regime. Prince Charles has more on the plans for levelling up now, which are contained in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill.The planning system will also be reformed to involve residents more, and the government will aim to improve transport systems across the UK.
