"And now, visitors to the museum will have the chance to experience this incredible story and famous ancient city like never before." Incorporating digital technology and scientific considerations, with more than 90 artefacts and related objects, Pompeii offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in scientifically accurate reconstructions of the city before, during and after the eruption."The exhibition's evocative soundscapes and projections not only show the city before it was consumed by Vesuvius, but allow visitors to connect with the people of Pompeii and their everyday lives," Ms McMahon said.
"And for a long time, there's been quite emotional interpretations and understanding of these two people and their relationships, whether they were mother and daughter or they were lovers."
