A list of models affected has been released
Best Buy are recalling certain air fryer models after warnings they could cause fires, burn or lacerate those using them.
Six models made by Insignia were discovered to be faulty, including a dual basket model, two air fryer ovens and three normal air fryers.During investigations, Consumer Product Safety Commission officers found four air fryers could overheat and cause the handles to melt or break, posing fire and burn hazards.
The two air fryer ovens could also overheat, shattering the glass on the door, posing fire, burn and laceration hazards.Those with an Insignia air fryer on the list of recalled models should stop using the devices immediately and check the CPSC website for more information on how to get a refund. At this time, Best Buy has received 24 reports of overheating, glass shattering or even melting devices. Thankfully, no harm was caused to users.
