MCo Beauty's Lip Light Shine Gloss has been recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Comision after fears that a battery inside the product is not properly secured.
The button battery that powers the light is not properly secured, the ACCC said. The affected batch is A23A07, as it does not comply with the mandatory standards for products containing button/coin batteries.MCo Beauty's Lip Light Shine Gloss has been recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Comision after fears that a battery inside the product is not properly secured. "There is a risk of choking or serious injury if young children gain access to the button/coin batteries and swallow or place them inside their body," The ACCC said.
The product is sold nationally in-store and online at Woolworths, Big W, Chemist Warehouse, and OZ Hair and Beauty from October 1 2023 and April 17 2024.Customers should stop using batch A23A07 and contact MCo Beauty via the email [email protected] with a photo of the lip gloss including the batch code number.Consumers with lip gloss batches A23A08 and A23A10 can contact MCo Beauty for the required warning information to be provided.
