It made it difficult to do the finances.”
Ruiz said her husband attempted to take over the finances, but he fell behind because he also works a full-time job and takes care of the children.Ruiz is the daughter of original Cha-Cha’s founders Margarita and the late Ricardo Ruiz and worked in the kitchen there since she was 16. She’s a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin.
Ruiz has leased the city-owned facility near the Leon Valley Community and Conference Center since January 2021, records show.
