A Melbourne DJ has died following an accident in Bali. Courtney Mills, 38, died on Sunday after sustaining “life-threatening” injuries in an accident on Friday according to her sister Kiani Mills. In a post on Instagram, Kiana said her sister was on life support and underwent multiple surgeries however could not be saved. “It is with such a heavy heart that we share the news of Courtney’s passing,” Kiana said. “Mum and I arrived in Bali Saturday and were with her by her side right until the end.

“We know you have found peace, we know you have found happiness, but we will miss you every single day!,” she said. Bali was Courtney’s “second home”, Kiana said, so her remains will be cremated on the island. “We wish to honour her and leave a part of her here,” she said. “We will then return home with her ashes, to celebrate her life, Courtney style, in Melbourne.” Tributes have poured in for the popular DJ, with talent agency That Sound saying Courtney was the “heartbeat of every party”.
