A primary school “at the heart of its community” has received another positive Ofsted report with praise being heaped on its pupils. Kids were hailed as “spirited individuals” who leave school able to “contribute to life in modern Britain”. Full story 👇

Ascot Road in Holywell was judged to have remained ‘good’ following an assessment in February – with kids noted as being “confident, happy, spirited individuals”.

“Pupils understand that everyone is different and that people should be ‘allowed to be themselves’ and be accepted.” “Pupils develop a good understanding of the different cultures, relationships and family units they may come across. “Pupils leave the school equipped with the ability to build positive relationships and contribute to life in modern Britain well.”However, the academy free school, which has 376 pupils, was told in some areas teachers are not consistently ensuring they revisit pupils’ prior learning, which should include subject-specific vocabulary.
