The SF chicken sandwich pop-up collaboration between Square Pie Guys and Rize Up Bakery sold out immediately but is now adding more dates.
“I happened to run into him, and he follows me on Instagram; I follow him on Instagram,” Anderson said. “And he was kind of like, you know, we love what you do. I said I love what you do. And then it was like, we should do something someday.”
Marc Schechter of Square Pie Guys and Azikiwee Anderson of Rize Up Bakery have collaborated on two sandwiches for a pop-up called Hetchy’s Hots.“I’m from the East Coast,” Schechter said. “… I just don’t know where to get a good chicken parm here. So that’s kind of where I was like, Z makes amazing bread. Obviously, the best sandwiches basically revolve around the bread. I knew we had the chicken side handled from Hetchy’s. So I kind of was like, Z, let’s bring people to SoMa.
Following the announcement of the three-day pop-up scheduled for May 15, 16 and 17, tickets sold out within four hours. Fortunately, Hetchy's Hots is now adding another set of dates: May 22, 23 and 24. It will offer 50 sandwiches a day, and customers can reserve their sandwiches by purchasing a
