A popular sports bar in the heart of the Mission District is permanently closing after nearly two decades in operation. Known for its Pittsburgh-style “All-in-One” sandwiches piled high with grilled meat, provolone cheese, coleslaw and crispy fries, Giordano Bros. will serve its last customer on Sunday, Feb. 27, according to a statement on the restaurant’s website.
“Obviously, deciding to close is a difficult business decision. The past two years of the pandemic have been very trying, but overall Giordano Bros. has been a successful and worthwhile venture and there’s a lot to be proud of,” said Jeff Jordan, who founded the restaurant with his wife, Allison, in 2004. “The number of people we met and friends we made over the years is astounding, and we are truly thankful for everyone who has been a part of it.
