Cairns-based artist Andrea Huelin has won the Archibald Packing Room Prize 2023 with a portrait of New Zealand-born Melbourne comedian Cal Wilson.

“It means such a lot to me as an artist from a regional centre to win,” said Heulin, who painted the pink-haired comedian with a colourful headress. Director of the Art Gallery of NSW Michael Brand said for the 32nd Packing Room prize was decided equally among the three.
