The Prime Minister, who will be the first Australian leader to visit mainland China since Malcolm Turnbull in 2016, will push for free trade between the nations. "It is a result of the patient, calibrated and deliberate approach that we have to the relationship with China," he told reporters. The Prime Minister vowed to raise human rights issues with President Xi after being questioned about the recentMr Albanese said he will be"speaking of human rights and the nature of detention" as he acknowledged there are other Australian citizens still being held in prison.
