This could be our first glimpse at Porsche's upcoming 992.2 911 Carrera -
Other notable differences include a switch over to the fully-digital instrument cluster as is found on the Taycan. While some of the interior’s tactility would be compromised, it is a much more flexible and configurable interface to interact with. Otherwise, we expect the 992.2 to also introduce hybrid technology into the 911 range, working in conjunction with the eight-speed PDK transmission and combustion engine.
We expect to see more 992.2 prototypes throughout the next year or so until its planned reveal date some time next year. Before that point, though, the 911 still has plenty of derivatives to turn into – from the aforementioned Safari and GT3 RS, and a new heritage-inspired Sport Classic.
