Households could be paying more for their power bills under a Labor government, according to new analysis by the Menzies & Page Research Centre.

The research suggests Labor’s plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent by 2030 will push up prices for households in New South Wales by $600 a year. The report has also revealed prices for small and medium businesses would be relatively unaffected by Labor’s policy.
