Power was restored to Seguin, Texas, early Sunday morning after an outage caused almost half of the city to lose electricity, according to the Seguin Police Department.
Hundreds of residences in Seguin were left without power for hours last night, after a raccoon made its way into a substation transformer, according to Seguin police. Crews from the Lower Colorado River Authority and the City of Seguin Electric Department were working during the night to clear the transformer and restore power.Commenters flocked to the department’s Facebook page with jokes and warnings about the incident.
One commenter reminded residents to slow or stop at all traffic lights, given their own close call on the road earlier in the evening.
