7NEWS finance presenter Gemma Acton has shared details of a shock ordeal that befell her family over the weekend. The star shared a photo of herself looking ashen-faced alongside a long caption explaining what had happened. Gemma — who is expecting a baby in November — revealed she had been at her parents’ house on Saturday about to take her daughter Olympia for a walk with her mum when a terrifying event unfolded.
“We now know everything except her vital organs had shut down after what would have been a fatal anaphylactic reaction without urgent professional help.” Gemma explained ithe photo of her looking ashen-faced was taken from the ambulance “once the worst had passed”. The presenter said her mum was now out of hospital after 24 hours of observation and “copious tests”. “I write this for three reasons,” she concluded.
