The Australian’s Political Editor Dennis Shanahan says DanielAndrewsMP has become 'obsessed' with the COVID outbreak and says the Premier knows he made a big mistake in the past.

The Australian’s Political Editor Dennis Shanahan says Daniel Andrews has become "obsessed" with the COVID outbreak and says the Premier knows he made a big mistake in the past. Mr Andrews announced on Sunday tentative dates for the easing of restrictions, should new case numbers remain low.

The Melbourne metropolitan area will continue with its stage four lockdowns until at least September 28. "He knows it was his big mistake in the quarantine outbreak first," Mr Shanahan said. He also said "Victoria has behaved appallingly in relation to the other states". "And so they are just looking at COVID as the be-all and end-all."
