Premier David Crisafulli is standing by two of his ministers who have insisted they did not breach conflict of interest rules over their on-again off-again relationship.

Premier David Crisafulli has ruled out a cabinet reshuffle amid questions surrounding ministers Tim Mander and Amanda Camm 's relationship timeline. Mr Crisafulli was also quizzed on if he knew about the ministers' earlier relationship when they were in opposition.

Premier David Crisafulli is standing by two of his ministers who have insisted they did not breach conflict of interest rules over their on-again off-again relationship. He has also defended not disclosing he was aware of Tim Mander and Amanda Camm's initial relationship while the LNP was in opposition. Mr Mander, who holds the Olympics portfolio, and Ms Camm, who holds the child safety portfolio, are both adamant they appropriately declared the relationship.

The pair admitted earlier this week they were in a "personal relationship" from June 2023, but it ended in May 2024 — before they were sworn in as ministers later that year. They say they then resumed their relationship in June 2025, before making the relevant disclosures the next month after seeking integrity commissioner advice. The ministerial code of conduct requires ministers to declare personal interests, including "relationships".

Mr Crisafulli on Thursday ruled out a cabinet reshuffle and said he believed Mr Mander and Ms Camm had conducted themselves appropriately according to the ministerial handbook.

"I have a duty to administer the law, and both ministers have assured me they have complied with the law," the premier said. "I've listened to the debate over the few days, and again there is no information that has come to me to suggest that they haven't. On Sunday, Mr Crisafulli was asked when he found out Ms Camm and Mr Mander were in a personal relationship, and he said this occurred when they "declared it".

Premier quizzed on if he knew of earlier relationship But both Ms Camm and Mr Mander on Wednesday revealed Mr Crisafulli was actually aware of their earlier relationship while they were in opposition. Asked why he did not disclose that he was aware of the initial relationship when he was quizzed about the issue on Sunday, Mr Crisafulli suggested it was a "private matter".

Mr Crisafulli would not say if he informed the integrity commissioner about the earlier relationship between Ms Camm and Mr Mander when he assembled his cabinet.

"I will not go into people's private lives. I just won't do that. I didn't do it against the Labor Party, and I won't do it now," he said. Neither Ms Camm nor Mr Mander would say on Wednesday if they told the integrity commissioner about their earlier relationship when they were sworn in as ministers.

They both argued there was no conflict of interest to declare because they were not a relationship at the time.released conflict of interest management plans Earlier this week, Labor circulated letters they say Mr Mander's former sister-in-law sent to the premier in June and July last year. In it, she alleged she had evidence Mr Mander and Ms Camm were in a relationship for two years before her correspondence — but this was disputed by the pair.

Opposition Leader Steven Miles on Thursday claimed Mr Crisafulli's cabinet was "compromised from day one".

"I have no doubt that if these ministers had disclosed to the integrity commissioner their supposedly historic relationship, the integrity commissioner would have advised them that a reasonable person would perceive a conflict of interest," he said. Foreign AffairsFederal Government
