Annastacia Palaszczuk was grilled by journalists over fresh claims involving the outgoing Integrity Commissioner.
The Premier has used parts of the law, some of which she could not name, to not answer questions about fresh revelations involving her and the state’s Integrity Commissioner, who is set to leave her position part-way through her term.
The Premier reportedly described it as “suspected corrupt conduct”, but Committee, which has budgetary authority over the Integrity Commissioner, decided to take no action.The Premier’s referral came within a few weeks of Dr Stepanov blowing the whistle on her office being raided, which has sparked allegations of interference with the integrity watchdog.seizure of mobile phones and laptops
“I did that based on Solicitor-General advise. I didn’t do it myself. Certain matters related to this complaint have been referred to the CCC, which continues its investigation.”
