Premier League clubs will be expected to unveil their teams 15 minutes earlier in 2024/25 than in previous years.
However that rule will now change, with clubs now set to name their teams 75 minutes before the match begins. This is due to manager's typically wanting their team selection in the public domain for the minimum amount of time possible, due to the possibility of opponents adapting their plans and gaining a competitive advantage.
"At least 60 minutes before the time fixed for the kick-off of a League Match, the Manager or a senior member of the coaching staff listed in Rule L.23.3 of each participating Club shall attend a briefing with the referee."It means that the Premier League will now be in unison with UEFA competitionsThis rule change will come into play from the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.
