Premier League clubs are set to vote on June 6 over whether to continue with the technology.

English Premier League clubs are set to vote on binning VAR after Wolves tabled a motion to bin the tech from NEXT season.

The English top flight has had the technology in place since 2019 but the number of controversial incidents hasn't slowed down. In February there were more than 20 errors recorded this season alone, with Nottingham Forest infamously raging at Stuart Atwell's performance in their defeat to Everton - claiming the VAR official for that clash was a Luton fan. In Scotland it was found that there had been 26 errors prior to May 1.

Wolves were the latest club to come out swinging and now The Athletic say they have taken a big step towards getting the technology binned from 2024/25. It's reported their motion will be tabled to Premier League clubs on June 6. And if 14 or more clubs vote in favour, VAR will be pulled from the Premier League from the start of next season.
