Former Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu has backed new Leeds United signing to be a key man in the Championship promotion push
Leeds United have signed a 'Premier League' player in Ethan Ampadu, whose experience can be vital for the Whites' promotion push. That's the view of former Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu.
While he's only 22, Ampadu arrived at Elland Road with plenty of games in the bag, and 44 caps for Wales, including playing in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. And Robson-Kanu has backed him to be a big player for Leeds."Hes a leader - a young leader, only 22 years of age," he told Sky Sports. "He's got a wealth of experience with over 40 Welsh international caps under his belt. He's played at very competitive levels, at international tournaments.
"For him, for it's a great opportunity now because he's had a few seasons out on loan previously, and now he can begin to really to establishi himself as a key, intergral part of the team. For Leeds this season, he is going to be vital. "So it's going to be exciting watching him at this level because I feel he's a Premier League player. He knows to show that at this level, and if he does, it's going to be great for Leeds and great for the fans."
