Aston Villa's chairman says he is considering legal action against the Premier League's PSR
Aston Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris says he is considering legal action against the Premier League 's Profit and Sustainability Rules - with Manchester United one of several clubs limited by the restrictions.
At last week's Premier League AGM, Villa had a proposal to increase a club's permitted losses from £105m to £135m rejected as they look to build on last season's Champions League qualification.ALSO READ: Unsung hero has just shown how important he is ahead of contract decision Speaking to the Financial Times, the Egyptian businessman said: "Some of the rules have actually resulted in cementing the status quo more than creating upward mobility and fluidity in the sport. The rules do not make sense and are not good for football.”
Manchester United were hit with PSR concerns in the January transfer and were unable to move freely in the transfer market. United's failure to qualify for this season's Champions League will also limit the amount of revenue brought to Old Trafford.
