Inside the van, police found the addressed of at least one Sydney synagogue and Jewish buildings, raising fears it could have been used in an act of domestic terrorism. Comm Webb confirmed the registered owner of the caravan had been arrested on unrelated matters and police seized the van, reducing the risk to the community.

A couple were revealed to have been arrested on what police on described as the"periphery" of the van investigation during Wednesday's police press conference.
