Donald Trump and Joe Biden's battle for the White House is the main event on November 3, but the sideshow races are also getting pretty interesting. Who wins the House and the Senate will determine exactly how much power the next president holds.
While the vote for the President of the United States is the main event on November 3, just how much the winner will be able to do over the next four years is likely to come down to what happens in other elections happening that day.
Of the 100 seats in the Senate, 35 are up for grabs, as are all of the 435 seats in the House. Currently, Democrats control the House, while Republicans control the Senate. Does the name Mitch McConnell ring a bell? He's the Senate majority leader and a senior Republican senator. Both Ms Pelosi and Mr McConnell are up for re-election, and both are expected to win their respective seats inBut there are some big names in close congressional races and given the Republicans only hold the Senate by a few seats, the November 3 sideshow events could prove to be worth a look.Well, as always, all we can really do right now is look at what the polls say, which races are close and the momentum behind any challenger candidates.
