President Joe Biden will headline a big-ticket fundraiser in Park City and make comments marking the anniversary of legislation extending benefits to military veterans sickened by toxic burn pits during a swing through Utah.
The commander in chief is also expected to mark the anniversary of burn-pit legislation, the Pact Act, during his overnight swing through the Beehive State| Aug. 8, 2023, 5:49 p.m.President Joe Biden will be speaking Thursday at a fundraising event in Park City — but it won’t be cheap if you want to attend.
Tickets for the event start at $3,300 and run to up to $100,000 to be a “host” of the event, which is being sponsored by Mark and Nancy Gilbert and John and Kristi Cumming. Gilbert is the former U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa. The Cummings own Powdr Corp., which has ski resorts in the U.S. and Canada.
Donors who pony up $50,000 will get to speak with the president and have a photo taken. At the $25,000 and $10,000 level attendees will get a photo with Biden. The location of the event is not being disclosed. Biden is scheduled to arrive in Utah on Wednesday afternoon and attend the fundraiser the following day.
