President Trump` has blasted state governors as “weak” for not cracking down on protesters, but privately the President is said to fear for his safety.

On a video conference with national security officials and top police Mr Trump said “most of you are weak”, according to leaked reports of the conversation.

He urged leaders of New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles to crack down on protesters and suggested reviewing criminal penalties for burning the American flag.Source:AFP Illinois Governor Jay Pritzker - also known as “JB” - directly challenged the President during the conference call.
