The fact there wasn’t a second presidential debate shows how the presidential debate commission seems to be “in the pocket of Joe Biden,” according to documentary film maker Ami Horowitz. Due to fears surrounding President Donald Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis, the presidential debate commission decided to host the second debate online, which was promptly rejected.
Mr Horowitz told Sky News, the commission choosing not to host a second debate given the president’s doctors said he could no longer spread the virus, shows it is “in the pocket” of the former vice president. The debate was then replaced by duelling town halls with Mr Trump and Mr Biden simultaneously facing questions from voters. Mr Biden’s town hall was moderated by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, but Mr Horowitz said the democratic nominee was only thrown “soft ball after soft ball”.
