Dishes include a hearty stew, chickpea casserole all washed down with a selection of new wines
As we head into the colder autumn and winter months, the need for a warm, hearty meal increases. And with this in mind, Preston-based Fino Tapas has developed a new menu filled with warm and wholesome meals as the longer nights draw in.
Fino recently relocated from Guildhall Street, to the space above Plau Gin & Beer House on Friargate over summer. The restaurant first launched in the city in 2018. The new menu features proper northern grub with a Mediterranean twist. It includes dishes such as lentil, chorizo, and black pudding Stew, pork shoulder with caramelised onions and apple puree and Spanish chickpea casserole with spinach and feta. There is also a fabada Asturiana option for diners, which is an authentic pork, butterbean, and smoked pancetta Stew. The new additions will be available alongside classic meat, fish and vegetarian.
The wine offering at Fino Tapas and Plau Gin & Beer House has been refreshed by sommelier Matti Whitter. Matti’s background includes Lytham Wine Company, Niko in Preston, and Ye Horns Inn.Fino Tapas is managed by original Plau founders Jeremy and Rebecca Rowlands. Jeremy said: "Fino is as popular as ever with customers but we wanted to offer something new and exciting for the colder months.
