Anthony Albanese has reversed a decision to keep his official diary secret, but his department is dragging its feet on his taxpayer-funded alcohol bill.

Anthony Albanese has backflipped on keeping secret his official diary, but his department faces allegations it is acting “unlawfully” by refusing to disclose details of the prime minister’s taxpayer-funded booze bill.

Trade Minister Don Farrell, Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth and Housing Minister Julie Collins remain in the small group who have refused to disclose, using the same excuse as the prime minister and Mr Brandis.over his decision in July to appoint union ally and former Labor senator Chris Ketter as Australia’s consul-general and trade and investment commissioner in San Francisco.

Centre for Public Integrity director Geoffrey Watson, SC, said the actions of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet in the matter were unlawful.
